Palazzo Pepoli yesterday
Located in the very heart of Bologna, Palazzo Pepoli was built in 1344 by Taddeo Pepoli, the city’s first lord. Once a medieval fortress and noble residence, it reflects the power and prestige of one of Bologna’s most influential families. Over the centuries, it passed from Church ownership to the Collegio Gregoriano, returned to the Pepoli family, and changed hands and functions multiple times, standing as a silent witness to the city’s rich history of power, culture, and transformation.
